Battery stopped 2 months after warranty expired

now i have to pay $180 for it to be serviced. at the same time i started to receive emails for the paid service car. considering the device is connected and samsung can see this data i wonder if this planned or merely coincidence. it was a wonderful vacuum but this doesn't seem like a coincidence or a good faith effort by samsung. our 7 year old irobot is still running upstairs and has never had to be sent away.

good concept! stopped working after few months , sent it back to get repaired. guess what? right out of the box when it was returned back started getting error again!
seriously! wish the bot vacuum worked the way it has to!
only out come was i wasted lot of money on shipping back and forth, could have purchased another vacuum in that much money!

me and my mom got this vacum october/novamber 2019.
i have so many samsung stuff in my house. and i thought that thats a decent brand. my baby was little so i used the vaccume for like a month and stored it in the box one year later i decided to use it. and it makes that horrribel sound. and guess whta my mom's vacum has the same sound. we cleaned it and tried every thing the sound wont go away. samsung refused to help as it is out of warranty. when i didnt even used it. please save your money .

vacuum for just over a year now. we've had to send it in twice already, under warranty, for different problems. the last time it was sent in i got multiple emails and texts, all of which contradicted the others. finally when the unit came back it got retires to basement duty as we bought a new one that worked way better. upon trying to use it for the first time after getting it back it moves about 3 inches and those an error message on the unit and app. upon talking to customer service, they refused to fix the unit again because it met the end of the warranty (which actually happened in their possession). so now i have a vacuum that doesn't work, that was $500+ and lasted just a year. absolute horrendous experience with samsung, will not be buying anything from them again.

i have had it for 1 month and 1 week and it is broken. i kept getting an error code c 05. if you look for the user manual online, on page 15 it tells you to look up the code in the user manual - no help at all. i tried to chat with customer service - one tried to sell me stuff, one told me a fix that didn't work, the third sent me to the service page where i would have to pay for help. i called and the fourth person was finally able to help .
the issue at this point is i have to pack this thing up well enough to not have more issues and send it back and hope it is fixable. i feel like i flushed $350 down the toilet and have a big robot that can't do anything.

i purchased this product through amazon.
there is a chance that this product is damaged while transferring that very small part, maybe a tiny screw, is moving around when i flip over to clean the brush. i included video of me flipping around. hopefully s21ultra video captured the sound well.
i am too lazy to return the device and this product works just fine. so im just keeping it.
i have less than 1000 sq apartment that i thought i was doing a good job vacuuming.
but this little thing was collecting crazy amount of dusts i dont know where its gathering from. but i am very pleased with the results.
the homing function is a bit buggy time to time crying for help to get home.

vac shopping is tuff so many reviews, models and videos out there. samsung had a great sales so i just bought the powerbot. (r7065 has greater suction). this thing cleaned my whole house so well. it did not get stuck anywhere and did a great job. almost filled the waste cup even though the house was "clean" so i was thrilled. just remember this does not replace a vacuum, it simply keeps things tidy and picks up dust, pet hairs and random debris between deep cleans. i highly recommend if you have pets or shiny tile floors that show up dust. be sure to clean the waste tray and filter after each use to ensure it works well and the brush once and a while if longer hair gets onto it. i read lots of negative reviews but so far i love this. always make sit home to charge also.

i ordered the powerbot r7065 to replace an aging roomba 675. i know that it is not an apple to apple comparison, but what a difference.
for starters, it goes in a straight and in a methodical way across all the rooms in my first floor and the navigation seems to get better by the day. also, it does not bump hard against obstacles and is very graceful in avoiding them. it does sometime get caught between the dining chair leg. the battery seems last well over 90 mins so far. picks up dirt everyday and my carpets and floor look much cleaner.

I really wanted to like this unit, Samsung makes great stuff. This vacuum has no virtual walls and no way to block it from going out of the room and wandering off. When it does it can't find its way back and you have to go find it wherever it died. It came with a magnetic strip and no explanation in the owner's manual. I did try it. It doesn't work. The unit drives over it and rips it off the floor. It's a real shame because I have other Samsung products that work great. I returned this unit two days after I got it.

i purchased this vacuum direct from samsumg on a special thanksgiving sale. normal price was $599 and i was able to buy it for $399.
after about 15 months it makes a horrible noise. it only runs 1 hour per day. i would have expected itnto last a lot longer than 15 months considering the money i paid for it.

i bought this in september. it clogs really easy with dust and hair. after a couple of months it started constantly bumping into things. then it randomly would go backwards. buying it from there it did not have the model or serial number so it was being denied. still not resolved but i did ask if they repaired it would the be taking care of the scratches. they said the sensors may be off but that cosmetic damage was not covered. i would not recommend.

we have 2 australian shepherds, so we have a lot of fur around. this bot makes the claim to be good with pet hair (even though not the specific pet model). it does an ok job at that, but the collecting bin is way too small, fur gets wrapped around the beater bar, and the bars don't last. additionally, the bar is never available for order online (thru samsung or elsewhere). the bar catches fur next to the bearing, which builds up and burns the plastic next to the bearing, ruining the bar. no matter how well you clean it, this happens, and due to design it's impossible to get all of the fur off this particular part of the brush. for this amount of money, the part that allows the vacuum to do its job, shouldn't fail this consistently.

i bought 2 powerbots one for upstairs and one for down. this is ideal for cleaning homes less than 1400sqft. i've sent one for repairs in a few days over the warranty and now the other one needs a new brush. the samsung representative was able to help locate the brush. the vacuums are supposed to return to the base to continue cleaning but seldomly make it to the base before the battery dies. i have about 4 bedrooms, a loft, and 3 bathrooms upstairs and it isn't smart enough to find the base station when the battery is low. i wanted to love this vacuum. the concept and technology seem logical but the engineering behind the vacuum is not fully fleshed out. i can not recommend anyone buy these. if you do, get an extended warranty and a second base station.

this vacuum is awesome! we schedule it to run every night and it leaves the floor spotless. it reaches all the creases and crevices around the house perfectly fine. i couldn't be happier with such a great thing. finally no need to haul my dyson down the stairs once a week, i just let this do the vacuuming daily and its never been cleaner!

good
it does have a lot of vacuum power.
it is connected through the wi-fi in our home.
bad
from the beginning the battery life was less than what samsung advertised. four months later the battery dies after 20 or 25 minutes. very often it cannot make it back to it's base.
when the battery dies and you restart the vacuuming it will not start where it left off.
you cannot set up zones using the smart app.
it bangs into the furniture with such force it will move the dining room chairs around.
i regret purchasing this vacuum,

i wish this would have worked. i am very disappointed for the amount of money spent. the brush roll and brush roll cover constantly falls off and i then have to locate the pieces. it gets stuck under furniture and never goes back to its base to recharge. i was going to submit a repair, only to find out my warranty is only 6 months? for the price paid this is a huge disappointment. sorry samsung i really wanted to like this product.

i love samsung products and thought i would love this too...quite the opposite! i kept it thinking i would grow to like it,, instead it just frustrated me and now i have had it too long to return. it does not have good suction at all! i have hard floors with a few low pile area rugs, the vacuum struggled on rugs. on the floors it does ok but misses large areas of flooring and has to recharge at least 1 or 2x before finishing. i had a neato before this and that must have spoiled me because although it is a bit noisier it is a beast compared to this kitten of a vacuum. sorry samsung but i am very disappointed in this vacuum.

i've been using neato robotic vacuums for about 5 years. i know the limitations of robotic vacuums and what to expect. i was impressed at first. it's much quieter and doesn't bump into things. it has great suction and a cyclone. but it quickly disappoints as its navigation algorithm is complete garbage. this thing got stuck in my hallway for absolutely no reason the first time i used it. every once in a while the neato does something stupid, but nothing this bad. it had 2 doorways to exit the hallway that it absolutely refused to try to go through. it tried to go down the stairs about 50 times. it spent at least 40 minutes in this one 4x8 area until it died. i'll give it one more try, but if its gets stuck again i'm returning it.

first, unless you have a brightly lit room, expect to constantly have the thing just randomly shutdown in the middle of the room saying it lost it's way. i bought this to supplement my vacuuming while i'm not home, not to stand and babysit it and turn a light on for it..
secondly, the wifi, it never stays connected for more than a few minutes at a time, this is the only wifi device in the house that has connection issues. i have reset the robot countless times, never fixes it for more than a day.
thirdly, i like how samsung put the cheapest, quickest to wear down "brush" bar on the unit, added to the fact the vacuum constantly runs over the charger base so the rubber brush just gets destroyed by the metal pins that stick out from the charger. and no way to buy replacements??

thank g-d that i bought this from amazon! we had a very frustrating week with this device. it was more trouble than it was worth plus samsung cut the price $200 from what we paid amazon.
problems: never found its charging dock; constantly trapped itself near any furniture; scratched the paint off the baseboards; scratched our furniture; too noisy to use while home; flimsy foam dust filter quickly clogs and extra filters are not available for purchase.

this was a great robot vacuum for the first 6 months. it never connected well to wifi but other than that for 6 months it worked great with excellent cleaning and navigation. after this time it started malfunctioning and has not been functional despite sending it back to samsung to be "fixed". the fix lasted a week and it just goes out and senses something stuck in the brush roll and stops after a few minutes. it is very disappointing and i think must have to do with the motor or belt. not sure what robot vacuum i will go to next but it does not seem like samsung has corrected this issue so i will be changing brands.

i was so expexting this to replace my irobot but could not get to connect. tried customer service many times no help. saw where others had problms. all said goes daily and cannot get to do only certain days. all said only does part of the house whre i robot does all and it barely collects anyathing. the irobot so much more superior despite what consumer reports said. also able to go under furniture and over rugs.. this thing senses and goes around.. doesnt really vacuume along the sides like the irobot. over all very very disappointing. not sure if will add another irobot or try a shark but dont waste your money on a samsung. customer service and product is inferior.

this vacuum would be great if it didn't break so frequently. it vacuums well and integrates with my smartthings home hub which i use to automate my home. however, it has broken and has been required to be sent in for repair twice in 18 months. it is now out of the 12 month warranty and they are wanting to charge $160 plus shipping to fix it. rediculous. the first time it broke, a motorized wheel stopped turning. this time, the suction stopped turning on. this indicates overall poor reliability of components. i will not be paying to repair this unit and will buy a competitor even if it does not integrate as nicely with my home automation system. i wanted this to be better. very dissapointed.

This is the second PowerBot I've owned. The first, a much older model, was wildly disappointing. This one, however, has resolved almost all the issues I experienced with the first: much better at navigating obstacles, deeper cleaning, quieter, and can actually find its way back to the charging base when all the lights aren't on. This one even connects to your wifi and integrates with SmartThings and Google Home/Alexa.
Pros:
- Cleans consistently well
- Scheduling functionality
- Integrates with Alexa/Google Home
- Comes with a remote for manual control/spot cleaning.
Cons:
- A bit pricey
- Too loud to run at night when you live in a small ranch-styled home
All in all, I'm impressed. The price is a bit on the expensive side still, but for those who value simplicity and hate vacuuming it's likely worth it.

We just got our POWERbot set-up and started to use it. First, it was easy to set-up-this is our first robotic vacuum. Second, we have a lot of dogs and two toddlers, so our only challenge-as with any robotic vacuum is to make sure we've cleaned up any messes before we start it. We're impressed with the suction power of the POWERbot. It readily picks up the dirt and hair. It is excellent to keep the house clean and moves very easily between hardwood and carpets. We love it!

We recently bought our Samsung Powerbot R7065. After being off the robot vacuum lure for long, bought post quick checks with family and friends owning similar or competitive brands. Settled for the R7065 as it came highly recommended for the features it packed.
The packaging was neat and well designed to avoid any transit damage to the unit. Unpacking was easy and figuring out the base/dock and Powerbot pretty simple. The quick install guide came with right level of detail to get the unit charged and started. One has to start the emergency switch at the bottom, place the unit on the dock and then press the >| button for 3 sec to get powered up. Not a simple place and power up.
The powerboat design and looks quite unlike others in the market. With its rectangular front and a camera on top to scan the contours of the home, provides its unique ability to clean edges and corners unlike most offerings in the market. Its ability to assess and approach potential obstacles and objects with deliberate and measured moves is a big plus.
The smart things app pairing is simple and helps you control most of the functions and with the Bixby voice command integration, makes life super simple. The one is like is the manual mode. You can guide the powerboat go into corners and nooks that would otherwise be missed due to multiple obstacles and indeterminate contours. The edge cleaning – is a very good feature once the powerbot has figures out the flat bottom surface.
The unit comes with four preset modes – auto, manual, repeat and spot clean. The remote and/or smart things app comes in handy to use the manual and spot clean modes. Besides these one can choose the suction levels like quiet, normal and turbo, though, all three modes do make the vacuum like levels of noise.
The auto mode provides good cleaning. The unit charts its own recharging needs and comes back to the dock. And then resumes from the last point. Though other reviewers say that it makes clean straight lines, I did find the unit erratic at times, but overall ensures the coverage all through the room. Hope it learns and corrects this. The two areas I would like to see improvements – the magnetic tape for no go areas is way too short and the receptacle is a wee bit too small.
Overall a great buy for the our household
