I purchased this refrigerator about 5 years ago. After 4 years the compressor had to be replaced. Luckily I had an extended warrantee on this product. My problem now is with the stainless steel finish on the refrigerator. I have faint rust colored dots all over the doors that wont come off. I called LG customer service and the representative gave me some cleaning solutions which did not help. I called back and the rep said that he would refer this problem to the Presidential Office and someone would get back to me in 24 hours. It has been over 2 months and no one has called. I called customer service again and was told once the complaint has been passed on to the Presidential Office and there is nothing they could do. He did send them an email to say that I had called again. Still no response. This is unacceptable customer service

I purchased my refrigerator approx 5 years ago and earlier this month the compressor failed. Cost me $1006.18 to replace it. Ive been working with Abbie your rep in LGs warranty dept but have been getting nowhere. Ive sent her everything shes requested...repair invoice serial number decal of the unit and approx date of when the unit was purchased Spring 2018. I have a 10-year warranty on the compressor but havent heard from Abbie or anyone else from your organization since Nov 14 2023. Pls help.

We have had this 5 years now that it is out of labor warranty it doesnt keep as cold I called customer care they told me that for 500.00 they would fix it. The compressor is under warranty but that is it. I would not buy another one.

I bought. The LG refrigerator 4 year ago and 7 weeks ago it stopped cooling. I knew it was a major problem right away. I called every company in our area to come take a look at it. no one wanted to work on an LG. every company told me right away it was a bad compressor our refrigerator had a 10 warrantee on the compressor and 5 years on the whole refrigerator parts and labor. when we called LG we got the run around everything from telling us it was out of warrantee to check this and check that call back is it plugged in and so on. the people on the phone were very hard to understand because of the language. after weeks of calling LG said they would send someone out the first 3 people didnt show up or refused to work on an LG stating they wouldnt get paid. then final 7 weeks later they sent a company and they replaced the compressor. we had to buy a new refrigerator because it took so long. we purchased a Bosch and now we had two refrigerators. I will never buy another LG product buyer beware

Im not happy with my refrigerator. The condenser gave out after 6 years. The condenser parts were still under the 10 year warranty but I have been engaged in a struggle with LG to get reimbursed. Its been a month since the repair was done and despite numerous phone calls I still have not seen my check.
The frig stopped dispensing ice a short while after we got the refrigerator. Weve just learned that if we stick a finger up into the dispenser door after getting ice a diaphragm will close and the ice doesnt warm and melt. Were worried that we may get injured by doing this.

I have had this product for 4 years now. The first 3 1/2 were as expected uneventful. Then the product failed completely and a new compressor needed to be installed. Exactly one week after the installation it failed again. For some unknown reason two days later it resumed working. It has worked consistently for the 4 subsequent months. The refrigerator has acquired some new and interesting sounds however. In short I have little confidence in this product.

We bought this unit in 2016 and I did not like the way some of it was arranged. Awkward to open the bins in the fridge area as both doors had to be open. A better design would have been 2 larger drawers instead of 3 small. I absolutely HATE the freezer. difficult to store items and the 2 sliding trays were not as useful as I thought they would be. We had a loss of cooling about a year ago 2022 and hubby cleaned the coils and reset the unit. It worked fine till last month then the compressor completely ran out of freon due to a MFG defect and to fix was more than a new fridge. We opted to NOT get another LG b/c all repair people said LG compressors are notorious for going out. We went back to a side by side Frigidaire Gallery counter depth. Much happier now. Will never buy another LG.

I bought my LG French Door July 2017 and have absolutely loved it up until a few weeks ago. I went shopping and came home to a lukewarm refrigerator freezer. I called an LG-certified service repair and was told that it would cost me $1500. to repair the compressor. I then decided to call LG directly and found out that the compressor could be replaced free of charge with the labor costing me $599. It was repaired a week later and is running fine. I appreciate this but am disappointed that the compressors have been having issues for quite some time. This is my first LG product and although I love the style I will never purchase another LG appliance again because I expect my appliances to last longer than this without having to spend extra on repairs.

We bought this fridge and after 2 years the cooling element went out. An authorized LG technician was required to repair the element. After over 5 calls to authorized technicians one finally called us back and asid they were not conducting the repairs anymore because they were not getting paid by LG. After nearly 3 weeks with no refrigerator we had to purchase a new not LG fridge and were out nearly $3000 We also bought an LG stove and the display is already going out after less than 2 years. I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT

We purchased this refrigerator 7/01/2018 on sale for $2199. . On 9/11/2023 I made the 1st call to LG to report that the refrigerator was not cooling properly temperatures in the 40s to 50s despite being set at the recommended 37 degrees. I paid $135 for an LG technician to diagnose the problem and was told it needed a sealed system repair. I was told by LG that parts and labor were covered under warranty. As of today the refrigerator is still not cooling enough the freezer is not cooling at all. The LG technician has made 6 visits to my home since 9/14/23 the last repair visit was 11/01/23 and every time the refrigerator failed within 24 hours. The compressor has been replaced twice 3 different computer boards and the evaporator condenser and Im not sure what all else has been replaced. I have made 17 calls to LG trying to get this situation rectified. Last week they told me they were submitting an escalated request for replacement or refund and that I would receive a call from LG within 2 business days. I was given a case review confirmation number. They never called. Today I called and was told by customer support that they could not even find the case review number. It has been 56 days and countless hours on the phone with LG or waiting for the LG repair visit. I paid $193.43 just since Jan. 2023 for LG water and air filters that I cant even use. I had to buy a $200 dorm sized refrigerator to keep essentials cold while going through this mess. I lost at least $100 of food items from the refrigerator repeatedly failing. This is a terrible product a terrible company who just goes through the motions of trying to make you think they are working with you but do nothing towards me having a working refrigerator/freezer. This is disgraceful.

I love the outer door to get oj milk butter and condiments without using energy opening the full door. The water levels are convenient. The middle drawer can be used as a refrigerator or freezer. How cool is that

We bought this refrigerator just about five years ago. And for the most part it has done what we need it to do. However this past month the compressor went bad. Yes the part was covered for ten years and cost nothing but I did have to pay nearly $600 service fee to have it replaced on top of throwing away about $200 in food. So it is not free. So I am disappointed for that reason. That said your service was excellent - to get ahold of and the technician was here within a day. He Florentin was very professional and thorough. He even followed up the next day to make sure everything was working as expected and showed excellent customer service.

I honestly loved this fridge for its capacity as a counter depth and in organization and overall appearance. However during its first year it had to have the main control board replaced TWICE. During its fifth year it needed its entire compressor replaced and now in its ninth year the evaporator fan is making loud noises and there is frost build up on the coils. I had to pay a repair person to tell me it cant be repaired because it is a sealed system problem and the cost is too prohibitive since it is out of warranty. I am now being forced to search for a new unit and I am afraid to purchase another LG. They have great features but a terrible repair record.

Pretty fridge but I have gone through two new compressors in 6 years and now it died again last weekend. Loud noise stopped working and then it came back from the dead 24-hours later after throwing out a bunch of spoiled food and now the water/ice do not work. The first compressor died before the first year was up the second one died approx. 3 years later and we also had issues with the internal area of the ice maker freeze up as well. Two trips out for that issue Instead of taking any chances and wasting my time getting it repaired I ordered a new non-LG fridge. The delivery person said that this happens a lot and people cancel their new fridge order and then the LG that died and came back to life dies one week later. Avoid the headaches and dont buy this fridge.

My LG refrigerator was an excellent product until the compressor went out. The refrigerator stopped cooling and all my food spoiled. This included all my refrigerated medication.
It turns out the compressor failure was a huge problem for many customers and a class action lawsuit was filed that the customers won.

We have this fridge for about 2 months now and so far I cant say anything bad about it. We really love the craft ice part especially the ball ice. The only one negative thing I can say is I was ok with this fridge not having handles but now I see a lot of finger prints BUT the fingerprint proof part is great you wipe it off and its gone. So again no complaints about it.

The refrigerator on the whole is excellent. It offers ample space and exhibits remarkable durability. However there have been instances where it unexpectedly ceased operation. This issue has occurred twice now both times due to problems with the compressor.
Upon consultation with a technician I was informed that this particular model is known to have compressor issues. Given this knowledge it raises questions about why the company did not issue a recall notice. I am hopeful that LG will assist in replacing the compressor to resolve this recurring problem.

Dont like the way the shelves are arranged. If I make enough room for milk and ice teanot much room left for other items. The ice/water dispenser has to be perfectly aligned to not spill ice or water. If you have a glass the slightest off it spills.

This refrigerator is very nice . It is a downgrade from my prior LG buts also $1000 less so thats expected . It does roll out when I open the freezer drawer so I will say the rollers are very good for loving it around . Im hoping to figure out how to keep it put . All in all very nice as expected . Water pours fast in the fridge which is nice . Finish is lovely .
